FACET is a Support Group.
Our quarterly Support Group Meetings are listed on the Calendar of Events and on the Chapter's webpage. Each meeting will provide education on important topics as well as provide an open forum for support. We invite the general public to attend our free Support Group Meetings.
We are active in the community and host several food-free or allergy-friendly events throughout the year. We encourage each FACETeer and group member to participate in these events. You may find more specific information in the Raising Awareness section of the website.
In this Support section of the website, please explore how we successfully manage food allergies while Dining Out, Grocery Shopping, in the School Setting, or with Family & Friends. We invite you to review our website and provide feedback on how you manage food allergies in various settings. Please feel free to also provide recommendations for your favorite products and facilities. (You may also find us on Facebook!)
Please know that you are not alone - FACET understands.

Newly Diagnosed?
When a food allergy is first diagnosed; the news can be daunting. Many questions arise like:
What can we eat?
How do I read food labels?
Which restaurants are safe for us?
How do I work with the school and/or childcare provider?
We invite you to review our website for some of these answers. Typically, strict avoidance of the food causing allergic reactions is the
course of action. If you still have questions after visiting, many people find it helpful to speak with a licensed dietician. Your allergist or pediatrician should be able to recommend one to you.
